    Play a complete thirty-target session

Choose a target size, then click the canvas once to begin. That starting press does not count as an attempt. One circular target appears at a time; a successful hit moves it to a new random position. A miss leaves the current target in place and reduces accuracy. Time keeps running until thirty successful hits have been recorded. The last target ends the session without moving controls into your clicking path.

Why time and accuracy belong together

Average time per target divides the entire session duration by thirty. It includes time spent recovering from misses, so it describes the pace of the complete task. Accuracy divides successful target hits by all attempts after the starting press. A faster run with substantially lower accuracy is a different performance tradeoff from a slower precise run. The secondary score scales accuracy by time; it is an internal practice measure rather than a game-specific rating.

    Target size and browser geometry

Target radii are expressed in approximate CSS pixels and converted into the canvas coordinate system when a target is created. Pointer positions are mapped back through the displayed canvas rectangle for hit testing. This allows the board to resize without treating physical display pixels as pointer coordinates. Avoid resizing or zooming during a run: the appearance of targets and the distance you move can change even though the mathematical circle test still works.

    Use a consistent practice setup

Keep pointer sensitivity, operating-system acceleration, display size and seating position consistent for a baseline. This two-dimensional trainer does not reproduce a first-person game camera, field of view, recoil or movement. Touch input and a mouse are distinct techniques. Check the polling-rate tester if you are investigating event delivery, and use the reaction test when you want a single-cue response task instead of target acquisition. Compare personal history only within the same target size and setup.

Your result stays on this device

Completed game results are saved in this browser when local storage is available. Bests and recent history describe this device’s saved runs, not a public leaderboard. Changing browsers, clearing site data or using private browsing can remove them. Copy score writes only the visible result summary to your clipboard when you request it; sharing is your choice. Clear local game data removes scores, daily completion markers and the saved 2048 board for this origin. No game result is uploaded, and the games remain usable when persistent storage is unavailable. Use the rule table to check what the active mode measures before comparing another session. A changed duration, input method or grid difficulty can change the task even when the displayed score uses the same unit.

    Frequently asked questions

Does a miss count as a target?

No. Thirty successful hits are required. Misses reduce accuracy and time continues.

Is sensitivity matched to an FPS game?

No. This is a two-dimensional browser pointer task without a game camera or sensitivity conversion.

    How is the score calculated?

The practice score is 100000 divided by mean milliseconds per target, multiplied by accuracy as a fraction.

Does target size affect my personal best?

Yes. Results are stored separately for small, medium and large targets.
