Select the pages you actually need

Choose one PDF file and enter the original page numbers you want to retain. The workspace shows the total number of source pages once the file has been read. Page numbering starts at one and follows the physical page order in the PDF, including covers and blank pages. This may differ from a chapter’s printed page numbers or a reader’s custom page labels. For example, 1-3, 7, 10 creates one new PDF containing the first three pages followed by pages seven and ten. The source document is not overwritten, and unselected pages are omitted from the new document.

Use explicit ranges and output order

Separate selections with commas and use a hyphen or an en dash for an inclusive ascending range. Spaces around numbers and separators are accepted. A selection such as 5, 1-2, 5 produces four output pages in exactly that order, including two copies of original page five. Repeated pages are therefore intentional rather than silently removed. Descending ranges such as 5-1 are rejected; list individual page numbers when you want a reversed sequence. Select all pages fills the range field using the actual source page count. The tool produces one downloadable PDF containing the selection, rather than a ZIP of individual page files.

Keep the source layout and check compatibility

Selected pages are copied as PDF page objects, preserving their original dimensions and rotation instead of rasterizing them as screenshots. Existing text and vector content can remain intact, while image-only scans remain images without OCR. This operation rewrites the PDF and invalidates original digital signatures. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs cannot be opened here. Forms, bookmarks, attachments, portfolios and other document-level features are not guaranteed to survive extraction. Keep the original document and inspect the saved result in your usual PDF reader, especially when the source includes interactive forms, special navigation or a formal signing workflow.

Local processing and practical limits

The source PDF must be no larger than 25 MB and contain between one and 300 pages. The output selection may contain at most 500 pages, including deliberate repeats. Range text is limited to 4,000 characters and invalid or out-of-bounds page numbers are rejected before export. Memory use depends on document complexity, so a file below these ceilings may still be too demanding for a small device. Nothing is uploaded to a document processing service. Use the sample button to generate a three-page PDF locally and try a selection such as 3, 1 before working with your own document. Clear removes the loaded file and current download from this page.

Frequently asked questions

Does split mean one file for every page?

This tool extracts your selected pages into one new PDF. It does not create individual files or a ZIP archive.

Which page numbers should I enter?

Use the original document’s physical page positions, starting at one. Printed page labels can differ because of covers or front matter.

Can I reorder or repeat pages?

Yes. Output follows your written selection, and repeated page numbers create repeated output pages. Use individual numbers to reverse a sequence.

Will digital signatures and forms survive?

A rewrite invalidates original digital signatures. Forms and other document-level features are not guaranteed, so keep originals and check the result.
